Jennifer Grin M.D., F.A.C.S.

Jennifer Grin M.D., F.A.C.S., founder and attending surgeon of Colorado Cataract Laser & Vision, is one of the most well known and experienced ophthalmologists in Colorado. She is a Board Certified eye physician and surgeon trained at Yale University and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has been at the forefront of ophthalmology’s evolutionary changes throughout her career and continues to achieve the highest quality of standards in the country.

Dr. Grin first came to Colorado to complete her medical internship at Saint Josephs hospital in Denver in 1997 and developed an interest in high altitude medicine. In 1999 she joined a select group of physicians and researchers on the Yale University/NASA Everest Extreme Expedition to study effects of high altitude physiology at the Base Camp of Mount Everest. The team collected data on climbers and fellow researchers compensatory responses to hypoxia. Medical clinics and humanitarian efforts were also part of the groups efforts.

Dr. Grin utilizes the latest medical technology and techniques to provide the highest level of care and with her highly trained, trusted team, continue to bring compassionate and quality care to all.

Jacob J. Koczman, M.D.

Jacob J. Koczman M.D. is a board certified ophthalmologist that specializes in refractive cataract and LASIK surgery. He is skilled in the latest multifocal and astigmatism lens options and laser assisted bladeless cataract surgery. Dr. Koczman is a certified LASIK and PRK surgeon. He also has a special interest in pterygium surgery and eyelid surgery, correcting excess eyelid skin (blepharoplasty), outward turned lower lids (ectropion), and inward turned lower lids (entropion). He routinely treats glaucoma, retina, cornea and other eye disorders for adults and children.  He treats diabetes and macular degeneration with intravitreal injections.  He has been involved in clinical and basic science research studies including the Avedro Corneal Cross-linking for patient with keratoconus and other ectasias.

Dr. Koczman studied at Northwestern College, where he excelled in the classroom and in athletics. He graduated with honors as a double major in chemistry and biology and was a two time national champion in track and field and an academic All-American in Basketball. Since college, he has been inducted to Northwestern College athletic Hall of Fame. Before medical school he competed and made the finals for the 2004 USA Track and Field Olympic Trials in the 800-meter event. Dr. Koczman attended the University of Iowa for medical school where he discovered his passion for Ophthalmology. He completed his internship at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He continued his training in Indianapolis with the Indiana University Department of Ophthalmology where he was chief resident.  Dr. Koczman spent two years in North Carolina where he practiced and trained as a refractive and cataract surgeon under the tutelage of Michael Woodcock MD.  His professional associations include the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Koczman maintains an active lifestyle and enjoys running, cycling, hiking and many outdoor activities.

Thomas A. Wilson, O.D.

Dr. Tom Wilson is a 1987 graduate of Pacific University College of Optometry. He was in private practice in Monument and Colorado Springs from 1987 to 2021. He recently sold his practice and is excited to join Colorado Cataract, Laser & Vision, LLC.

Dr. Wilson is a past president of the Colorado Optometric Association. He served as a board member for the “See the Future Foundation” which is responsible for awarding scholarships to low vision individuals. Dr. Wilson’s special interest lies in the visual rehabilitation of stroke and head injury patients. He is presently on staff at St. Francis and UCHealth Memorial Hospitals in Colorado Springs.

“Sports Vision for Better Performance” was written by Dr. Wilson and published by Human Kinetics. Dr. Wilson served as a sports vision consultant for USA Shooting, the Air Force Academy, and the University of Colorado. He was a trustee for the Colorado Professional Golf Association (PGA) Reach Foundation.

Dr. Wilson and his wife, Mary Beth, have three grown and married children and 2 grandchildren with more on the way. He loves the outdoors, especially golfing, hiking, biking, and skiing and those activities are even more fun when his family can join him.
