Jennifer Grin M.D., F.A.C.S.
Jennifer Grin M.D., F.A.C.S., founder and attending surgeon of Colorado Cataract Laser & Vision, is one of the most well known and experienced ophthalmologists in Colorado. She is a Board Certified eye physician and surgeon trained at Yale University and an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. She has been at the forefront of ophthalmology’s evolutionary changes throughout her career and continues to achieve the highest quality of standards in the country.
Dr. Grin first came to Colorado to complete her medical internship at Saint Josephs hospital in Denver in 1997 and developed an interest in high altitude medicine. In 1999 she joined a select group of physicians and researchers on the Yale University/NASA Everest Extreme Expedition to study effects of high altitude physiology at the Base Camp of Mount Everest. The team collected data on climbers and fellow researchers compensatory responses to hypoxia. Medical clinics and humanitarian efforts were also part of the groups efforts.
Dr. Grin utilizes the latest medical technology and techniques to provide the highest level of care and with her highly trained, trusted team, continue to bring compassionate and quality care to all.
Greg Fliney, M.D.
(Dr. Fliney will begin seeing patients on February 15, 2023.)
Gregory Fliney, MD, is a comprehensive ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and eyelid surgery. Dr. Fliney is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Medical Association.
He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Colorado Denver and graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Biology and Psychology. Dr. Fliney completed medical school at the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honors society prior to spending his ophthalmology residency at Yale University where he earned an academic achievement award.
Dr. Fliney is a skilled surgeon specializing in cataract surgery and glaucoma care–offering the latest technology in cataract surgery and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS) procedures. He also offers cosmetic care including eyelid (blepharoplasty) and eyebrow (brow lift) procedures.
He enjoys playing tennis, hiking, and spending time with his wife and family.
Alexia Bounkhong, O.D.
Dr. Alexia Bounkhong attended the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville for her undergraduate education and earned her doctorate in Optometry from Western University College of Health Sciences in Southern California. She worked extensively in the optometric profession for over 18 years where she held positions as an optician, optical lab coordinator, optometric technician, and eventually as an Optometrist.
Dr. Bounkhong worked in various ophthalmology clinics managing cases in ocular disease, LASIK, Cataract, Corneal Transplant, and many other procedures.
Dr. Bounkhong joined the world of optometry after being diagnosed with amblyopia as a child. She has a passion for primary eye care with an emphasis on ocular disease and surgical co-management.
McKinzie Daniels, O.D.
McKinzie Daniels, OD, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in human biology, minor in Spanish, and Doctor of Optometry degree all from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. In optometry school, she served as president of the contact lens club and was an associate instructor for ocular biology.
She has been working in Colorado for the last two years as a comprehensive optometrist specializing in scleral contact lens fits. Her passions in eyecare include contact lenses and dry eye.
Dr. Daniels is dedicated to going the extra mile to ensure each patient achieves optimal eye health and vision while making patients feel at ease and taking the time to answer any questions they may have regarding eye-related issues.
When not in the office, she enjoys outdoor activities including figure skating, hiking, and skiing. She also enjoys cooking, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
Eva Kim, M.D.
Dr. Eva Kim, MD, is a fellowship-trained Uveitis and Cornea/External Diseases specialist and surgeon who specializes in cataract surgery and refractive surgery. After receiving her BS from Stanford University, Dr. Kim went on to obtain her medical degree from the University of California, San Francisco. She completed her internship in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente San Francisco. Her ophthalmology residency took place at Harvard Medical School/Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary before finishing her clinical fellowship in Uveitis and Cornea/External Diseases at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to her career in Colorado, Dr. Kim served as a comprehensive ophthalmologist and Chief of Service for Northern California Kaiser Permanente. She also held the role of Lead Communications Consultant, focusing on elevating the quality of physician to physician and physician to patient communication and experience. For five years straight based on patient feedback, Dr. Kim was ranked 1st out of 258 Ophthalmologists in Northern California.
Dr. Kim is currently serving patients at Colorado Cataract Laser & Vision’s Parker clinic and ICON Eyecare’s Denver and Lone Tree clinics.
Katie Goldhair, M.D.
Katie Goldhair, MD, is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery and all forms and stages of glaucoma treatment. Dr. Goldhair is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the American Medical Association. After receiving her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Tennessee, Dr. Goldhair spent her ophthalmology residency at the University of Mississippi and completed her glaucoma fellowship at the Louisiana State University Ochsner Medical Center.
Dr. Goldhair’s strong passion for helping people and medicine began as a clinic assistant, which eventually lead her to pursue her own ophthalmology career. Prior to serving patients in Colorado, she served as the Attending Physician of Ophthalmology at the VA Medical Center in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Dr. Goldhair is currently serving patients at Colorado Cataract Laser & Vision’s Parker clinic and ICON Eyecare’s Golden and Lone Tree clinics.
Jacob J. Koczman, M.D.
As of January 2023, Dr. Koczman will no longer be seeing patients in our locations. Dr. Koczman and his family have decided to move to another state, and he will no longer be practicing in Colorado. At Colorado Cataract Laser & Vision, all our physicians work in a collaborative manner to ensure the highest-quality patient care.
